Overview

Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 13th century in summer of the year 1246, by Giant Flies Glegado. The establishment of Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Giant Flies Glegado struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè as a prison colony.

Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè is was constructed arround several narrow cobblestone mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. Unfortuantly, these bare minimum defences are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century a local hero by the name of spared the town from an attack. One of Rêri-g̈ogëfî Dêtîkè's festivals remembers the hero.
